Iris ten Have Bio
Raised mostly in the Netherlands and France, Iris (Alkmaar, 1996) has a multicultural approach to writing, having absorbed the nostalgic and romantic values of the French and the ad rem qualities of the Dutch.
In her writing, Iris intuitively caters to multiple senses, delving into descriptions of taste, smell, vision and touch. Her tone alters from clear and objective in journalistic pieces to dreamy and poetic in prose. Most of her writing inspires itself from her personal experiences and themes that reoccur and preoccupy her are love, identity and the meaning of home.
Apart from writing, Iris sings and makes music. She was columnist of the twelve episode long portrait series "Lessons of a Stranger" at the Dutch journalistic platform RedPers.
